Our Community Hosts are responsible for opening and closing our schools across the UK on evenings, weekends and school holidays. We enroll all of our hosts onto our thorough Training Academy, where they learn everything from operational standards, security, safeguarding and customer service. During the recruitment process we put a particular emphasis on our values, as it is crucial our hosts understand just how meaningful a lettings programme can be. Here are some of our hosts describing the impact they see the lettings program has on their local community.

Of course, your primary role is to look after the school during community use, however you will also the first point of contact and guide the clients during these hours.

At a time where people have never needed it more, you will welcome the local community into the school facilities for different activities such as football, church groups, dance & drama, children’s activities, mother and baby classes and much more!

This role comprises of evening and weekend shifts.

The role duties:

  • To be responsible for the security & maintenance of the school.

  • To maintain and enhance the high quality of the school, buildings, grounds & environment.

  • To deliver a world class experience for the local community.

  • Lock & unlock the school whilst ensuring the security & safety of the site.

  • Help to organise & manage attendee parking on site during large events.

  • Ensure the site is always staffed including holidays & sickness .

  • Assist in the setting up of rooms for lettings & other school related events from time to time.

  • Undertake cleaning duties to ensure that the school’s premises are always clean & tidy.

  • Ensure that the Health & Safety Guidance is always adhered to.

  • Assist with regular risk assessments.

  • Manual handling is essential to the role.

  • Experience of working in a school environment would be advantageous but not required.
