Roadmap Breakdown: What it means for Sport & Leisure

The government has confirmed a delay to the final step of the roadmap out of lockdown in England. Originally planned for the 21st June, this has been delayed by four weeks to Friday, 19th July and will mean the end to all social restrictions. In the meantime, the guidance in the final stage of the table below still applies.

The fact that children will once again be able to engage in sport at school from as early as the 8th March shows how important the Government believe it is to social, physical and mental wellbeing.  The 29th March will see outdoor facilities open up a lot more and allow communities to resume some of their favourite activities.  With the weather improving week on week this is a great opportunity for some safe social interaction!

We’ve broken down the latest government guidance into an easily digestible table of the most common activities, and what each stage looks like for their participants.

As well as this guidance, we are still waiting on further information from national governing bodies on specific activities.  So far, the following has been released for adult sport:
